Thanks!! My bad ! Maybe I was thinking 60 feet. That would be close to 20 meters. Also, I guess that 20 meters would be from where the home point was set and not the remote.

I have read where others have crashed because the drone hit something on the way down because it was not over 60 meters away!

Go to a large open area and fly more than 20 metres away and try it for real.
It's well documented in the manual and has been done thousands of times by users.
Studying how RTH works and practicing is an important part of learning to fly the Phantom.

Take both gimbal guards off - the big obvious clear plastic one and the small white foam one in the back of the gimbal!

I flew for 1 month with the white foam!
