Can I connect my Galaxy s5 via a USB3 lead to the controller? Will it help with data speed for the video?
I have only ever used it with the supplied lead which is USB2.

Most of the video issues we are seeing are device processing power and the questionable coding of the android app itself... regular USB 2.0 standard can theoretically transfer data at a very high 480 megabits per second (mbps), or 60 megabytes per second (MBps) which is more than enough to handle the stream.

Actually the S5 is USB 3 - or mine is and I am sure most of them are. Well it has the USB3 connector anyway.
I just wondered if the controller itself had usb3 out?
I know USB2 in theory should be quick enough but surely any little bit of help is good - the connector would be better anyway.

google Galaxy S5 USB 3 connector and u will know what he talking about, as for the question of OP, i very doubt it make any different.
Anywhere.On the controller. There is no data flow issue. As DBS stated, USB2 bandwidth far exceeds what is needed
