USB range extender?

Just wander if it's possible to use USB wifi extenders. Xiaomi has a really good small and cheap Wifi extender and I want to try it on my P3S Original Xiaomi Mi WiFi 300M Amplifier 2-9.99 Online Shopping| GearBest.com

The USB is only for power, it doesn't put a single from it

OK, hum, so what is the thought?
It works like a booster / repeater?
Will it boost the signals between the Phantom and Remote? Neither actually work like an access point.
The remote to the mobile works like an access point to me, but that wouldn't needed to be boosted.
The remote to the Phantom doesn't use the WiFi signals, so really don't understand what it would do.
