Rip out the 2.4 gHz radio and replace it with the Phantom 2 Vision Plus receiver $35.- and the DJI 5.8 gHz radio Radio Controller $159.- (Phantom 2 Vision 5.8Ghz) (prices for the P2V parts, can't even find the P2V+ parts)

People tend to think the P2V+ is "crap" because the gimbal is a bit flimsy, and prone to break on impact. And really expensive to replace. In summary, the P2V and P2V+ have RAW (DNG) capabilities which make them a bit better for still photos, but the P2 with all the bells and whistles including a GoPro Hero 3+ will tend to produce better videos: 1080p@60 and 2.7K@30.
