Hey all - put a new P3P gimbal and camera on my P3A. I know I'm supposed to reinstall the firmware, but when I try, it doesn't update and I get a results file on the card that says it aborted because the firmware on the bird is already the same. Do I need to uninstall and then reinstall?

    Many thanks!

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I didn't think the camera and or gimbal were interchangeable between a P3P and a P3A

    yes they are.
the only difference between Pro and Adv IS the gimbal.
tastycat just upgrade with the Pro FW and you're good
make sure you have a blowing fan in front of the Phantom while upgrading the FW

You can easily interchange Gimbal with Cam from P3P to P3A and correct the AC FW later on.

The best way to do is ( assuming upgrading P3A):
    1. Downgrade the SW to P3A lower version
    2. Replace Gimbal/ Cam of P3P on P3A. You will need only two grey cables to reconnect
    3. Upgrade the FW to P3P next higher version

Dji Go App hence forth will recognize it as P3P. You may need rebooting and reconnecting. There are other ways to do the same too. Pick what you feel is best for you.

Thanks all - well, I tried flying as is and it's a pro! Recorded in 4k. How about that! And the faster downlink was *unbelievable* through goggles!

Where did you buy it from? DJI or third party? And how much was it if you don't mind to say?
