Updating the Phantom 4

My Phantom 4 delivered today, so I patiently charged the battery and remote and took it outside. I plugged in the phone and powered on the remote and Phantom. Excited to fly, I launched the app and it said "update required". I thought "great, this'll eat up another 30 minutes". However there was a slider bar that said "update", so I slid it. I saw a progress bar and 30 seconds later I was flying with the latest firmware!

I'm going to miss downloading files off their website, plugging the memory card into the machine, waiting for all the weird sounds, then doing the same for the remote and each and every battery...or not.

i dont know if it was just me , but i had to connect the P4 to the DJI assistant to fully update

I did the same Patrick. I'm coming from a P2+ never played with a P3. I did an initial update via IOS App, but ultimately I had to do another update from the assistant.
