Just realized I don't have a micro-usb drive, but I do have an adapter. I know sometimes things get lost in translation with adapters so I'm a bit hesitant updating something that keeps an object hundreds of feet in the air.

I have a micro SD USB adapte and it didn't seem to work, I wondered if it was too slow.
You can put the file on a normal flash drive, which is useful to have anyway - and cheap enough for smaller ones.
Or you can have the controller connected to the phantom and use the card in the P3 slot (a bit clumsy but works)
