Updating firmware in the remote controller

Before my maiden flight with my Phantom 2, I updated its firmware through the Assistant software. All of that went well and then I connected the controller to my PC and there was no indication of connectivity (no blinking in the lower left of the Assistant window.)

So, what's the secret of getting the controller talking to the PC/Assistant application?

The "secret" is to use DJI RC system assistant software, instead of DJI Phantom assistant software, it´s 2 different softwares.

After calibrating the transmitter, go back into the Phantom assistant again and calibrate the transmitter to the aircraft flight controller (again).
