Updated to 1.8 on my P3A this morning. Updated Drone and camera with SD card fine. Updated RC with DJI Go app. Seemed to update fine, then after I was done the app said I still needed to install the update. Hit install again and that's when it all went bad. It got stuck on 0% update. After leaving it there for a long time and nothing happening, I turned it off.

Now when I turn on the RC i get a blue light for a few seconds, then it goes to flashing red and beeping. On the app it just says RC Firmware version unknown and won't let me reinstall it. Here the things I've tried with no luck.

1. Booted up RC in reset mode, hold C1,C2, Video Record, ISO wheel while powering on. It powers up in resist mode with RTH button lit up and blue led, but still can't get app to reinstall firmware.

2. Tried to install firmware with SD card. Didn't seem to do anything.

3. Completely deleted DJI Go app from my iPad and Computer. Redownloaded and reinstalled app. Still won't let me reinstall firmware. Now the DJI Go app seems to think I have a Phantom 4 when I connect the iPad to the RC.

My RC is the newer GL300B.

Anyone have any help?

Figured it out. In the InspirePilots forum I found this video on how to down grade firmware.

By holding Academy icon button for ten seconds it opens a back door into letting you change your firmware.

After I reinstalled the old firmware on the RC it still wanted to think I had a Phantom 4. After I connected the RC to the drone it then recognized I had a P3A and let me update to the latest RC firmware.

I love my Phantom, but for DJI being such a large company their software can seem pretty hit and miss at times.
