Unusual Video Problem w/P3P & IPad Mini

I usually fly my P3P with an Ipad mini & Zeiss Cinimizers utilizing the new HDMI port upgrade. I notice that the Ipad mini will occasionally loose the video feed (freezing and green screen) but the picture in the Cinimizers is rock solid. Never glitches a bit. Anyone have an explanation for this???? I am using a 3rd party cable for the connection to the mini, I was thinking of trying another cable.

I had a similar experience with my ipad mini 2 and hdmi to my Pix 240. I put it down to overheating on the mini as it was August and hot as hell. I went back and forth on the mini and my iphone 6 through 5 batteries and the Pix never dropped video once.

I have the same problem with my mini and iPhone but not using the HDMI port. I thought maybe it was a signal problem. I don't know
