    Hi
I think this could be quite usefull. http://www.uavforecast.com/
It show these conditions in your curren location:
    • The Kp index measures geomagnetic disruption caused by solar activity, on a scale from 0 (calm) to 9 (major storm). Anything at or below 3 or 4 is usually safe for flying. The higher the Kp index, the more likely you are to have diffulties getting an accurate GPS lock.
    • Simulate the expected number of GPS satellites you will be able to lock
    • Wind
Based on these, it tells to you, are good to fly

I found it from here... http://www.phantomhelp.com/

    That looks very useful.

I notice the wind chill effects flying. Is that because the plane will be effected or because the pilots hands will turn blue?

The developer of the site (uavweather.com/ phantomweather.com) is a member of this forum and it has been talked about before....that being said it is a great reminder to everyone who flies to check it out at your location.

You can pretty much ignore K index. Or at least until it hits 7 or 8 which is rare. Then you may get some odd GPS behavior but it will still work.

Wind chill is a temperature perceived by animals, so you bet cold hands. Cold temperatures will decrease flight time by affecting batteries.

If you look on the Internet, you can find a mitt into which you place your transmitter and your hand to keep your hands warm and run your sticks without gloves. You still must keep batteries of aircraft warm before flying.
