I have seen many travel cases for sale at extreme prices in the 200+ USD range. I was wondering if anyone has put their own together with foam cutouts or the phone you can tear apart in blocks to make room for you equip.

I would love to hear what you used and your opinion after getting it all put together and taking out out on adventures.

I picked up one of the Seahorse SE-920F cases with the 'pick & pluck foam' from Amazon.com. Love it! Works for me. I use it to transport P2 & accessories to the field.

I stumped up and bought one for about £225 from London Camera Exchange.

Expensive yes, but the quality is very, very good.

I am a stickler for high quality protection. This case surpassed my expectations. Tough, PERFECT cutouts, FEELS great to the touch and carries everything I need. In fact, the cutouts are so perfect that I am afraid to make one cutout on my own - http://www.amazon.com/HPRC-HPRC2700PHA2 ... B00H4MWXNE

My buddy has that case for his Phantom 2. Yes it is cut exactly and fits everything very well. He picked up from B&H Photo for the same price with free delivery. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1017590-REG/hprc_hprc2700pha2_hard_case_foam.html From what I can tell it looks like other cases come real close to the rotors when you close the case, but I'm not certain. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...nal_cases_xb_dji_p2_carrying_case_for_dj.html

I just use the original box it came in. I cut-out the cardboard at the bottom so the gimble fits. Works really well IMO.

I will try. I dont have a lot of gear. Just extra props, radio (stock) 1 battery, gimble h3-3d and ground station.

This one from aerial media pros works well for me.

I got my aluminum case from Aliexpress (RC Hobby King) for $96 and free shipping!!Look around, they have some very good deals on DJI Phantom accessories and amazing prices, the only drawback is the waiting period for shipping from China but if you're not in a hurry then that is no issue.

I looked at the many types of cases available for the P2 all over the internet and I realized I needed something that would really protect my investment, this hobby is not cheap at all but well worth the hassle, trust me. With that said, this case is solid, sleek, comes with a pair of keys for the 2 locking latches for extra security if traveling or flying with it and has plenty of space for all my extra goodies and FPV equipment. It does the job for me very well. Happy piloting everyone!!

It works really well honestly. I took it as a carry on to vegas this past week and had no issues. Obviously it is designed to ship the phantom, so it protects it well.

I tried one of these, but it is very low quality. Still it gets the job done, and you don't have to worry about messing up an expensive backpack. Just be careful, excess glue sticks to screens and is hard to get off. I always put a protective sleeve around my iPhone to keep it clean.

Does the zenmuse gimbal fit in the bag nicely?
