Transmitter antenna mods and flying overhead

Does the DBS antenna help or maybe even reduce connection when flying directly overhead? I ask because I wondered if the replacement antenna system was so directional that you might have to specifically aim them up at the quad for reception. Any other hints to reduce signal dropping when flying overhead? Thanks

No it does not help much. I just avoid flying overhead or point the antenna straight to it.

Well, I will say that with the DBS panel, it REDUCES overhead conneciton quite a bit. I often have to point up if I'm 400 feet up (high) since the signal is more more directional.
