Transferring Photos from GoPro to PC

Just purchased the P2 with ZenMuse H3-3D Mount (Hero Black+) and just took it out for a maiden flight and love it! I have a general question for you all, what's the best/easiest way to transfer photos from the GoPro? I plan on using the GoPro frequently without the P2 and the mount that slides into the MicroUSB seems like it might not stand the test of time with frequent docking and un-docking. Any tips or suggestions?

I just take the sd card out and manually move the data from it. But, I have the V1 H3-3D (which has the original gopro connector on the back plate).
