When I was kid I could never find a high enough point to launch my toy parachute, and if I did, I was forever runnning up and down the stairs to launch it. Not any more... I attached a GoPro to the back section of my Phantom 2 Vision, so the built-in camera plug just touched the GoPro camera mount. In short it formed a 'closed system' and held a toy parachute in place. When I tilted the built-in camera in flight, it moved just enough releasing the parachute. I know it simple but it's effective.
