Those little ribbon cables in the remote

Those ones you have to unclip to remove the board to replace it with the hdmi module. While waiting for my module in the mail, I decided to practise on an extra remote. I immediately broke off one of those microscopic black clips. I wasn't exactly sure how they worked, and off it came. In the event I ever wanted to use that remote again, is there a way to secure the cable sans clip?
