I read in some posts that if / when other quad makers start to compete - in a serious way I assume - with DJI.. then maybe certain aspects of DJIs service/QC may improve.

So check out this link and ponder ....If I was buying a new quad and wanting most if not all of the Phantoms functions would I pay around the same price for a clone?

Check this out!

Yep, everyone trying to copy the phantom. I wouldn't be surprised if they make their shells to crack too. Haha, and fit into a phantom case, cause everyone has those.

Biggest thing DJI got is incredible machines at reasonable price. Oops, I almost forgot, SALES and range and video quality. Besides, this dude is ugly.

Where's the soft curves and sexy voice on this one? D...DD...

But, you're right the competition does do a body good!

If it doesn't have Lightbridge, it's competing with last year's Phantom - not the P3.
Lightbridge made everything else obsolete.

I hope you do not think I am even considering buying one of these clones!
I just think its amazing the produce this and offer it at a price higher than I paid fro a P3P !
I cannot imagine how the makers even consider it could compete with DJI.

If they dont have a bunch of geo fencing and other restrictions it could sell.
