Taranis Radio's

How many people are using a Taranis 9 radio. I am thinking of getting one of these radio's, at the moment I am using a JR9 but thinking of getting one to use with my Phantom and Flame Wheel 550 and leaving the JR for Helie's and plane's. So what are your view's on this radio, what will I need and what are the pit fall's. All replies and info will be greatly received. Thank you very much.

I have one and I love it. I was a Spektrum user before and had a DX8. I figured I'd try the Taranis as it was cheap and people were raving about it. Once I tried it I sold the DX8 which should speak loudly about what I think of the Taranis.

Plusses:
Very configurable
16 channels with the X8R rx
X8R is very cheap and extremely good with S-Bus and Traditional outputs
Very helpful community
Lots of telemetry sensors available

Minuses:
Steep learning curve
Some people look down on you for not using Futaba
The shell is a bit plasticy
Stock battery is rubbish (easily fixed with an Eneloop replacement)
