Any suggestions on preventive maintenance prior. I'm assuming as long as I keep it out of water and do not land in direct sand it's safe. Also what setting do I disable to safely fly over water? Thanks for any help.

Handcatching will help keep sand out of your machine.

You should disable VPS since it does not work well over water.

our hotel was right next to the beach, so i would take off and land from the end of the parking lot to avoid sand. i didn't disable anything and flew just fine over water (though i never dropped down close enough where it would make a difference. look out for sea gulls. i had several chase after my P3A, and i even had to cut a flight short because one was trying to knock my quad out of the sky.

I took off on a beach - used a cooler box as my launch pad. Hand caught landing, all fine. IMO beach footage is a bit boring as they tend to be featureless

Always enjoy reading about a flyer taking the responsible action to not endanger the wildlife. Thanks!
