Newbie here with yet another question! I have 2 batteries for my P3P. After flying and using up the first batteries power, then landing, do I simply shut the battery down then insert the charged battery in, turn it on and take off again? Is it ok to leave the controller on during switching? Calibrate? Tweak something?

I usually just shut the bird off and change the battery.

I don't turn everything off, that is just the way I do it and have been doing it without any issues.

Don't nees to tweek anything as Meta4 said but being me I still check MOD values before starting motors, thats just me lol

I turn off bird, then controller, then app.
switch battery, then turn on controller, bird, then app.
no problems so far. only rarely will app say bird is not connected.

I just turn the quad off, swap batteries, and turn it back on.

No need to play with the controller or app!
