Suicide flight: mission accomplished at day and night.

Maybe some of you viewed my first attempt to reach an oil platform at open sea (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=26818)

This was the flight record of the failed attempt:

Later on, the platform was moved to a more reachable spot, just a couple of Km away from the shore.

These days almost anyone is running short of time, but some friends were pushing me to show some pics from the latest flights. So I have made a quick "trailer" with the captures. I think It deserves a better edition.

You certainly have more guts than I! It sounds as if you encountered a lot of wind on your failed attempt. I thought by "failed attempt" you meant you lost your bird. I was puckered up throughout the first video, thinking it was going for a dive into the ocean!

You are right, as you can see in the artificial horizon, there was a strong wind coming from the left. I apologize for creating false expectances

My attempt was to reach the platform at open sea by I didn't. Not the first neither the second time. But I can tell you that the P2 was quite close to hit the waves.

what is your setup Stock transmitter ?

and fpv setup what antenna style are you using on receiver and tx?

what transmitter ?

I am using the Phantom 2 V1, stock radio transmitter. With regard to video transmission I use a so called Boscam TS35 400 with Boscam Cloud Spirit mushroom antennas. The receiver is a diversity receiver/monitor LCD5802 with the Rx Cloud Spirit antenna and a cheap pannel.
