I needed something to keep my Tx and charger and batteries and notes and spares and glasses and iPad and other stuff in. I found an empty Costco laundry soap bucket works great.....and it's free! Complete with colorful lid and handle for easy carrying.
When I carried it out to fly the first time, I realized it made a great platform to launch from. Less problems with small brush and weeds and dirt/dust.
I had a hard time seeing the blinking lights on the underside of the quad when it was sitting on the ground while it found found GPS and home, so I found some small mirrors at a craft store for $0.40 each and I splurged and installed two in the corners of the laundry bucket lid. Now I can stand back and see the lights easily change from flashing yellow, to fast green, to slow green!
