Stock Footage - what's it worth?

Forgetting the legal side for a moment, if a local event organiser wanted some stock footage to advertise an event, what would it be worth? Is it charged per raw clip, edited per second or something else? Just general flying around town and the countryside.

My experience has been it depends.......subject/content, single use or exclusive rights, quality, one shot deal or ongoing relationship. Usually only gross editing to cut out the junk. They will likely want to do their own editing. I've never sold individual clips but I'm sure there's a market for that. My information is a few years old and in a different market, but $20 to $30 per minute raw/mainly useable footage. YMMV
