What is best position for stock antenna? Should it be straight out vertical flat to controller, horizontal to controller etc.
I saw youtube video which stated best results were to use horizontal to front of controller.

    Thanks

Standard recommendation is typically up and at a 45 degree angle. Basically, you do not want the tip of the antenna pointing directly at the Phantom. The antenna actually radiates from the length/shaft of the antenna and not from the tip. So keep the largest surface area of the antenna facing the direction of the Phantom.

And keep it vertical... The receiver antennas in the Phantom legs are polarized vertical... so you want to be sending them a nice vertically polarized signal...

And don't fly straight up overhead if you're trying for huge altitude... people post that they turn the controller antenna to the side when flying straight up but that doesn't solve the problem with the phantom antennas having a weak spot directly beneath them.
