I want to legally fly commercially with my Phantom 3 in California. Seems there have been a lot of recent developments in this area. Can someone fill everyone in on what we need to do, step by step, to get legal? I'm assuming that applying for the 333 exemption and having an actual pilot's license is no longer needed.

I'm guessing this will apply to all states and they won't make up their own rules in addition to these. I could be wrong, but just a guess. Info here Fly for Work/Business

Not specifically yet but the Private Pilot written study guide (google for the exact name) will help a lot. It won't have UAS type stuff in it but it will cover the Aeronautical part and that's going to be the tough part.
