I got the normal beep sound when i turn on the battery and after 2 sec a get 2-3 low beep is something wrong? I have flying it 3 times and cant se any problem. I think it came after i updated the firmware, it fly´s good and are very stable, so what are that sound? is it when its warming up or something?

When powered on the remote will beep once. When powered on, after about 2 seconds the P3 will make 4 beeps in a series of rising tones. After that it should not beep unless you need compass calibration or something, and then you would also have the blinking yellow status lights. Do you have any unusual status lights?

Humm, I have read that the start up beeps are testing each motor but its 4 in row, no pauses. Nobody has ever confirmed that. Your starting it without the gimbal clamp? Only thing I can think of.

Yes without the gimbal clamb, but it could be the test for the 4 motors, it is maybe 4 low beep, i havent thought ho many beeps, i got 1 load beep when i turn on the phantom and that is right i now.

I just started mine about 4 times.
Release of tap, tap-hold. Green lights on battery climb up left to right then I see a blink of all 4 green and Red (power button) at the same time. Then about 2 seconds. The beep tones are quick, if you count it there is four and they chime up in frequency.
If the battery fully charged? Adding another humm.

i can check it later today i am at work now :) is your phantom a standard too?

Yep, have not updated to current software that came out about Turkey day. See if somebody else shares any ideas.

Added: There is some other noise's that it makes for a little bit maybe another 2 seconds later. Then they stop. It is the same noise's that it makes when I' am downloading from the camera to a PC (When I' am hooked via USB)

Thats sounds like mine does, i startit up now and a get the normal load beep and then after 2-3 seconds later i got as you describe 2 lower beeps, but i dont have it connectet to computer or something, is it a self test for camera or something?

Hi guys.
I’m getting some strange things happen with the tone on start up.
I always get a nice clear rising da-da-da-da when I turn it on, but the second tone changes.
Sometimes I get the standard daaa-da-da and other times I get a da-da
Can anyone explain why I get a difference in sounds and what they mean?

Thanks

Robin

I can't explain what any change in startup sound might mean and also don't know if some sort of official diagnostic code is contained therein, although I would guess probably not.

But I believe that the startup tone is created by the ESC's sending differing frequency pulses to the motor(s), so it's possible (but not necessarily true) that any change in the sound of the tones might either indicate an upcoming motor problem or some other sort of firmware or hardware glitch/problem.

My first step would be to do a careful inspection of the motors....
