I enjoy viewing the telemetry as I review my flight movies, so I usually let my Media Player open the SRT telemetry file along with the movie file. The telemetry shown is nice, but I find it not as useful as it could be.
Not being a programmer, I was wondering if is it possible to create an app or program to translate the data shown in the SRT file into more familiar parameters.
For instance, instead of showing Lat/Long coordinates for the Homepoint and current Phantom location, how about showing the current distance the Phantom is from Home (in feet, not meters).
Instead of a Barometer shown in meters, how about Altitude shown in feet (relative to takeoff point).
Maybe also add the current speed in miles/hour as well?
Don't know if this has been suggested before, but it would make the overlaid telemetry a bit more user friendly.
(I'm a Mac user, but would gladly turn on my old PC laptop to translate a batch of SRT files).
