Sport Mode Saved My Butt Today

Today I had an amazing day of flying in Yucatan Mexico, I got permission to fly over the Ruins in Mayapan, we got back to the port and I got permission to go straight up shoot a 360 and come down. While I was about 250 ft up a gust of wind started to take my bird out to sea. I wasn't able to out fly the wind in P mode. Thankfully I kept my calm mixed into sports mode and she crawled back and I got her on the ground safely. That was some flying. The entire port crew was cheering me on over their radios.

Haven't thought to use sport mode like that but good to know its a viable option. However have used it the opposite direction to attain some pretty insane speed in high winds. #funtimes in wide open spaces. Congrats on the quick thinking... and yeah share a vid or pic when ya can ;-)

The winds at the Ruins were about 10 mph, at the dock where the ship was there were 45 mph gusts at ground level
