Sport Flying Questions

I am having a lot of fun learning to sport fly my Phantom sans camera and gimbal. I have been doing flat yaw turns and have started to do banking turns. Any tips or comments specific to the Phantom for making the banked turn and do you at times pull back on the pitch to tighten the turns? I have found the following site helpful but it suggests the banked turn is more difficult to do correctly with the quadracopter.
