Hey guys,

So I'm running some tests to see how quickly I can get the files off the MicroSD card when I'm done flying.

I had been using a USB MicroSD Card reader, and the I realized that its USB 2.0. So I decided to connect the P3 directly to my computer and rip the files that way. I also think that the card reader on the P3 is USB 2.0 due to the speed tests I ran.

Can anyone confirm?

Ordered a MicroSD to "Normal" SD card adapter off ebay and waiting for that to come in. I think that will give me the best performance since my MacBook's Card Reader is directly connected to the PCI Express card.

I also believe that a USB 3.0 card reader would give maximum read performance as well.

Any thoughts?

The connection on the camera is USB2, so you are limited to the USB2 bus speed.

For me the SD card adapter is the fastest transfer if your laptop has one. Most MicroSD cards come with a free SD adapter in the package, and several of the higher end cards (Like the Lexar) are shipping with a "free" USB3 adapter.

Lexar USB 3.0 adapter (bundled with 633x microsd) is very high speed, really suggested with USB 3 pc/mac.
