8000 mah thunder power battery 593g
6400 mah venom battery 488g
5000 mah battery 385g
3200 mah PQ battery 272g
2800 mah zippy battery 219g
2700 mah thunder power battery 188g
2700 mah storm battery 188g
2500mah battery 181g
2200 mah stock battery 175g

I use all these batteries on my phantom (mostly in pairs, including the 2800s) I've even tried the dual 3200s but they were too heavy and made the phantom too sluggish and heavy coming down. The 2800s work well, but the storm 2700s will fly just as long. One phantom is 1160g and fairly clean, does have dual batteries and retracts (no camera, etc.) with CF vision blades. The other phantom is 1450 and has everything (dual 2700 storms, iosd, fpv, CF landing gear, upgraded motors) with tri blades. Both phantoms are using Naza M but i just bought a V2 and antenna puck, pmu, etc for the one that is stripped down.

I use dual 5000s, 6400s and a single 8000 on my F550 which is also pretty loaded and heavy 2730g with the 8000mah(iosd, fpv,cf landing gear with retracts, hero3 black, tarrot gimble) etc. this has the naza V2 already.

Lots of fun when the weather cooperates!

Had to check this out.
This is what I get for the stock battery: 171g. Was going to post a pic, but the file's too big.
Couldn't believe just 75g for stock battery, but I realize now it may have been an error.

Think that's just a typo, he probably meant 175g. My stock batteries all weigh between 171-174g.

What sort of times do you get with the 8000 on your 550?

I'm trying to figure out which battery route to go with mine.

I'm interested in the Storm 2700 for my Phantom 1. From the picture the plug looks different from the stock battery plug. Is it compatible without modifications?

Thanks,
Jerry from Colorado

That's called a "Deans" connector, you can make or buy an adaptor to plug that in to the XT60 on your Phantom.

I haven't tested the Storm 2700 but there's some newer options out now that have performed extremely well in my evaluations:

Dinogy 2800mAh
Pulse 2700mAh

The maddog 2700mAh and the SMC 2700mAh batts did well too, but not quite as well as those two.

Maddog has a new 2800mAh out now that I'll be testing this week as well.
