Flying here my Phantom 2 mostly in FPV mode.
Why are you at 1200 ft? And, why over a populated area? As a member of AMA, we are trying to keep FPV legal, these posts are making it difficult and they place you in a precarious situation. The fines are very expensive. Please don't shoot the messenger but we all need to abide by FAA rules.
This is why we can't have nice things!
1,200ft is a pretty common height for small planes. All you need is one innocent Cessna to come along...
I understand the hobby limit is 400 ft.
Academy of Model Aeronautics National Model Aircraft Safety Code
Effective January 1, 2014
(c) Not fly higher than approximately 400 feet above ground level within three (3) miles of an airport without notifying the airport operator.
There are no airports withing 3 miles of this place and I did not fly above people or houses only above the park.
Good to reinforce safety measures. Thank you.
