I'm planning to buy my first drone the smart phone i have is Sony Z ultra is this okay to use for FPV?

yes, tons of people using android devices. your sony should be fine. you will find that the size of the screen matters, and you will eventually upgrade to a tablet.

I use a Galaxy S6 and have great flights with it. But it is far too small. The Note 5 is the same phone with 1/4" more screen diagonally , and is still too small. A phone isn't a bad place to start, but you will get a tablet eventually!
