"Smart" battery being obstinate...

My new P-3 Pro battery won't upgrade, (I still get the red "battery requires new upgrade").
Did a search and I have followed all the videos on this forum. The SD card with the latest bin file IS in the bird:
Firm 1.3.20 - App 2.0.2 .Original battery is A-Okay. Have tried updating the battery with the RC both on and off. Nada. Can I fly with that new battery? I'm thinking no.

Note the TXT file that gets created on your memory card when the firmware is done installing. That'll tell you if the update installed, was already installed, failed, etc.

Yup, the SD card had NO TXT file on it. I formated it and reinstalled the firmware.
Put it in the bird.
BINGO - success ...
