    Hello there,
I am new this. I want to buy a phantom but I'm not sure which one I want either standard or Advanced. Can you please tell if there's a big difference for a new pilot like me? And how far does the standard go "distance" if it's stock?
    Thank you.

DJI has a good comparison between these two models here.

Thanks everyone!! One more question, is P3A worth the $300 difference than the standard?

It's not really about the money... it's about the features you need and/or want. If you must have Lightbridge (for example), then it would be worth even an extra $600.

For JUST the range....YES. As you can see in my signature, in open areas, my transmitter modified Standard only gets like half the range that my essentially stock Advanced does. If you are into range, you want the Advanced most likely unless you're trying to save a few bucks or REALLY don't need the range improvement. Transmitter mods add $100-150 to the price of the Standard.
