Should gimbal and GoPro stay installed in case?

I am a total noob and have a Phantom 2 with Zenmuse 3D and GoPro Hero 3+. Here's my question:

When my Phantom is in the case, my GoPro and gimbal are hanging under the Phantom just swinging around freely. Should I prop some foam under it to keep it from moving or is it better to just let it swing around?

I do, but elastic band it, to stop it flopping about.

It's probably a good idea to not have it flopping around too much. When I put the Phantom in the car, I usually wedge something like a cloth near the gimbal to keep it from banging around.

Cool. Looks good although also looks like you would have to not have your canbus connector on that leg..

I just place a bit of foam between go pro and gimbal to stop it flapping around in transit
