Setting Home Point 5KM away?

I wonder if I can set home .point 5 km away in my friends garden and send a drone all the way over there with a couple cigars?

I assume it would slide my GPS and get there?

It would be a one mission..but fun?

Sounds like fun but to much possibility for crash and distruction. Best to FPV and be able to see what's there and land. Pilot your craft.

Why? If I just make it land in his garden using Return to Home?

There is no way to program in a home point to be able to do that.. Even with the dynamic home point you would have to have your gps enabled tablet at the location you wanted to be the new home point. and even if you could get it to fly to your friends house 5 miles away its not going to be able to make it back with out having the battery swapped out. or you haveing to go there and pick it up after. BUT you could just bring him the cigars any way if you were to do that.

Set a HP, get in your car with the bird still on, drive 5 miles away, get out and hit the RTH button.
