If you want something to help separate you power connectors you might want to give this a try. I experimented with some homemade items and then remembered a tool I used years ago to open snap rings. I then searched and found a pair with extra tips at harbor freight for around $4. If you watch the video you will see me separating a very tight XT60 connector. This tool makes it so easy you will probably get a couple to have around. As long as you don't drill too deep and mark your spot you should not have a problem.
