Send and pray (controller range testing to 1.1 miles)

Testing the controller range. This is completely stock. Lost video at 1800 feet and telemetry at 2400 feet, kept full forward stick for 60 seconds then activated RTH and waited (1.1 miles).

I did it from a church parking lot (figured I might get better reception from there )
There were a few minutes of nerves, I kept staring at the water looking for a splash :shock: . Was very happy when I found it in the sky.

Riveting. I stood up and cheered at the end lol.

I know right where that church is, and it's one of dozens of places around there I'd love to fly and film...all sorts of great overlooks and high places with wide open lines of sight.

Even with the visibility you had, this is still deserving of the Grande Cajones honorable mention.
