RTH descend 4m/s. Warning to FC40 and P1 users with 9443 or 9450 props.

hi there lads iv have only had the rth once because I flew over a limit
and I use the 9450 props but my bird was fine if I remember right the wind
was 5mph and the bird had no problems but I wasent flying high
when it happened maybe 2-3 meter in height but I did panic when I
realised I wasent in control of the fc40 :S lol

The likelihood you will encounter VRS increases as the gross weight of the aircraft increases.
My FC40 weighs around 1100 grams and is outfitted with 9450 props. Vertical descents are something I try to avoid until the last 20 feet. That last 20 feet is done slow and easy.

Any wind or lateral movement relative to the air mass helps you avoid VRS.

RTH with a descent at 4 M/S in a no wind condition, would probably result in damage to my bird. :(
Lucky for me, there is rarely "no wind" while I am flying in Wyoming.
