just unboxed a new phantom 2, mounted the gopro
went for a test flight and the port front rotor spins slow and makes
this start/stopping motion at idle and the light underneath flashes.
it seemed to have a hard time flying in one spot too, but it was a little breezy.
It just doesn't seem normal for one rotor to spin different
Anyone else seen this happen?
On my phantom V1 can not see any difference in prop speed rotation.
Tried a bunch of things, cali the IMU, compass, rotate props, checked motors for debris...
think im going to send it back...

That doens't sound good :-( Are you saying that one prop actually stops while the other three continue spinning? What colour is the led flashing on that arm? Is it a differnt colour to the opposite one?

the forward two led lights , they turn red when craft is started up, csc.
but the one port side flashes red at the same time it sounds like the rotor is
turning off then back on.
the rear leds flash the normal green / reds for gps mode etc
I was looking at DJI warranty on a sellers website
and it appears motors are not covered?

Sounds like a bad ESC.

If you've only just bought it, take it straight back. It's not working properly. This isn't a motor issue... as Ian says, it's a ESC problem by the sound of it.... either way, take it back.
