The 50 year old Miami Herald Building is currently being torn down. This building was on the verge of being a historic site but was denied by the Miami Preservation Board and is now potentially making way for a massive casino. I took my Phantom 2 out there this morning to capture some images that might never be available to capture again. Enjoy. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel. Thanks,

Nice application for the Phantom. Why would anyone want to preserve the building. Doesn't look like anything worth saving. Demo and build something worthwhile.

Video looks great and is a fantastic use of the Phantom!

But no one is there and it would have been cool to get a little closer view looking in the half destroyed / open offices. I wouldn't pilot it all the way in, but maybe right up to it for an interior view of what the building used to look like.

I've tried to do something like that, but the poor resolution on the video stream makes it challenging. It sounds easy, but without a good FPV setup, I wouldn't try it.

Looks like it's being prepped for explosive demolition. It would be great to see the blast

There was security, so I set up about a block and a half away. Getting in real tight wasnt an option without losing line of sight.
