Required firmware updates

Getting multiple messages when I connect to upgrade firmware. Last time I flew, couple of weeks ago it was fine.

Thought is was user preference to upgrade?

I am on iOS.

Are these suggestions or truly required?

In a word, "No"! I get the same alert on my iOS system. Just close the window and go fly.

Phantom 3 Standard latest firmware is 1.8.10 and the Pro/ Adv is 1.10.90

4, yes. It flies well and no problems, I'm a believer of not upgrading if you don't have to. Should I look into upgrading (for the first time)?
