Called our local municipal airport to advise that I would be flying just inside the 5mi circle. He took down all the details, including my registration number.
He asked the model (Phantom 3A), then asked how I liked it. Bottom line: I went to the airport instead and we spent an hour or so flying my drone around the airport. I think he might be buying one... lol. And I don't think I'll have any issues with flying anywhere locally! Win-win!
