Replaced Phantom 3?

I sent my P3P in for warranty cracks to California Repair center. Within two weeks I received one back. It looks brand new, all parts including camera and gimbal. Is it possible they replaced my return with a new one?
 
Did you record/note the original serial number?
 
It's definitely within their policy to replace it vs. repair.

As far as new...that or [more likely] refurbished.

I'm betting it's refurbished. From the DJI warranty:

"Please note that products and components presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the products."
