Replace Roll Motor on Gimbal

Hi! So I recently experienced a crash and unfortunately the yaw arm was bent and has to be replaced. As I got to the last three screws holding it in place, the screws stripped and I am unable to remove the screws from the ROLL motor. I detached the other motor and the the roll arm so it's just the roll motor on the yaw arm. I ordered a new roll motor with the yaw arm hoping I can just replace those two parts. But I just saw someone saying that you cannot replace the motor without switching a magnetic ring(?) because apparently the motors and the controllers are calibrated. Do you know if there's anyway to replace the roll motor and calibrate it with my drone without replace magnetic pieces?? Thanks!!

I have a similar problem; my screws are stripped on the yaw motor.

I can order a replacement motor from eBay, but I'm curious about the magnet issue.
