RTH and hit a branch. drone fell and camera and gimball broke. what would it cost to repair it? Should I just replace with a new one?

Hi, I had a crash that broke the yaw arm and sheared the ribbon cable. I ordered the parts from Bock Hobby, took about 5 hrs to replace. Cost for parts - $65. Cost for new camera and gimbal (standard) is $259. Well worth it to self repair.

Please post detailed photos of everything that appears to be damaged.

You'll need the following parts for sure:
  • Gimbal Roll Arm
  • Gimbal Yaw Arm
  • Gimbal Ribbon Cable
  • UV Filter
There is no replacement for the underside of the gimbal. Perhaps that crack is just a cosmetic issue.

The parts I listed above will cost you about $180. If anything else is broken internally in your gimbal, the repair cost will go up from there. Personally, I would buy a new camera/gimbal and sell the damaged camera/gimbal for parts here in the classified section or on eBay. If you want to gamble though, you could save some money if all you need is what I listed above.
