Can you remove the cover (the part were the LEDs and the button are located) from the battery so you can also hydro dip it?

This way the whole visible part of the P2 can look the same.

Yes.

There are some clips and a bit of glue holding the escutcheon on.

If you look under there you should be able to see how it works otherwise I know it has been documented somewhere (Google).
