Remote Controller high pitched noise?

Does anyone else's remote controller when turning on/off or clicking the RTH make a high pitched noise? I know it's not "normal" as my friends doesn't do it... Is there even a speaker or how does it generate the noise?

Send it in for repair, High pitch noises are capacitors going bad. Don't take a chance flying it.

Every time I turn on the Controller, it sounds a solid steady tone, unitl I turn it off by pushing the left stick toward the middle, and it stops.
Does this mean there is a problem with the controller?

It means you need to calibrate it.
