I flew yesterday in Hong Kong water by the water. in 250m height, but over water, I suddenly had connection lost and RTH.

I regained control shortly after and brought it home no problem, but I was surprised this happened. I notice the remote got very warm around the left controller stick.

Has anyone noticed this before?

I m sure there is tons of interference around where I was standing. But I wasn't expecting it to get warmer like a cell phone fighting for reception. Doesn't it always transmit at 100mW??

Or could it be a sign of faulty controller?

Greetings,
Sebastian

Faulty TX I would say. The batteries and TX module are in the bottom, below the sticks. The TX module is on the opposite side to the power switch.

If it is getting hot, you have a serious issue, as the TX power is too low to produce heat. Check for a foreign body in the TX.
